Daniela Zbinden

Daniela Zbinden is a certified funeral celebrant and runs her service under the name Ändstation. She sees it as her task to honour the life path of the deceased person. Together with the relatives she looks back on the stages of a life story. Light-hearted anecdotes also have a place in her ceremonies. She tailors rituals to the deceased person, for instance with hay for someone from farming. She speaks Valais dialect with a touch of Bernese German. Her ceremonies tend to follow the Christian tradition; a prayer or a blessing can be part of them, while shamanic ceremonies are not part of her service. She also conducts farewells at the cemetery. In Schwarzenburg she has set up a room of her own for farewell ceremonies with up to 40 people on the premises of the funeral service.
